Power is not everything in a fight, sure it helps, but as my trainer always says – SPEED KILLS. With that in mind, it’s time to learn some quick and effective combos. Expect more videos like this that you wouldn’t see in a dojo but will be your bread and butter if you’re ever caught off by street scum. The key to a perfect punch is the twist-connect. Your arm and fist should stay nice and loose until a few millimeters before impact, then rotate your fist as much as you can, so you get a lil’ corkscrew action going on. Not only will you add more sting to your opponent, the punch will have more power behind it. Give it a go…

I absolutely love Blade 2, the action, the storyline, the one liners. Beautiful. Having watched it again, I can see how kali played a huge part in the penultimate fight scene. Check the scene out below – I just love how simple but effective the movements are… The art of limb destruction, even the translation is cool!

The Being Bruce Wayne project is officially one years old today! I can’t believe it! What started out as a bright-eyed attempt to becoming one step closer to my heroes has spawned an entire new attitude, lifestyle and outlook on life. I’ve recounted my self-imposed challenge to numerous people and no-one is sick of hearing it yet, so I guess I’m doing something right.

This year has been tough, don’t get me wrong, but I’m glad I’ve seen it through. But it doesn’t stop there. The true power, as I’ve always mentioned, of Bruce Wayne is his unwavering sense of self-discipline and that is the quality that I am still finessing. The year hasn’t been a flawless victory. There have been days I’ve slacked at the gym because I was more interested in playing Xbox or hanging out. There has been the occasionally hangover where the entire day has been written off, but I’m only human, and I’ve learnt from these hiccups.

The original goal of doing what Bruce Wayne achieved in 7 years and cram it in to 1 was always an unachievable goal – Bruce Wayne personifies the best of human potential. I am far from that. The key is not quitting and finish the journey that I have embarked on.
